Upper Mississippi Mashout 2012

I entered three beers into the Upper Mississippi Mashout this year:

• In the name of doG (brewed Feb. ’11), BJCP category 16E, Belgian Specialty Ale
• Frosty Dog kölsch (brewed April ’11), BJCP category 6C, kölsch ale
• CUJO SPICE v. 2.1 pumpkin rye ale (brewed July ’11), BJCP category 21A, spice/herb/vegetable beer

The UMMO is put on by guys in the St. Paul club, one of whom (Kristen England) just opened Pour Decisions brewery this past year. I won’t be able to make the events the weekend of 1/27-1/28 or help out with stewarding as it’s just two weeks before my wife’s due date. As we get closer and closer to 2/14, the more often I’m around (and sober) the easier it will be to get us to the hospital for the birth! And that’s important.
